PROGRAM OF THE CAMEL TREK IN THE DESERT

Departure at 6:00 AM from your accommodation in Djerba by 4x4 towards Douz.

After 3.5 hours of drive with a short stop, you’ll reach Douz around 9:30 AM.

Meet your Bedouin guides and camels, and start your trek.

First, a 2-hour camel ride followed by a traditional lunch prepared in the dunes.

Continue the trek for 3 more hours through the white sand dunes.

Set up camp in the desert, enjoy a fire-cooked dinner, evening around the campfire, and sleep in a private tent under the stars.

Next morning, breakfast at sunrise then walk back to Douz.

Lunch stop en route. Arrive in Douz around 2:30 PM.

Coffee break, then drive back to Djerba, arriving around 6 PM.
Information:
The tour is made by 4X4, or by microbus depending on the number of participants.
Our vehicles can be equipped with baby seats on request.
You will have one camel per person, children can ride in front of an adult.
You will not have water to wash yourself, bring wet wipes.
There is no network in the desert, make your calls before leaving.
This days tour is not open to people with reduced mobility.
