Gabes is located on the Mediterranean coast, at the bottom of the Gulf of Gabes, which also bears its name. The city lies 400 kilometers from Tunis, 125 kilometers from Tataouine, and 100 kilometers from Djerba.

Your day trip to Gabes will introduce you to the world's largest maritime oasis. In fact, Gabes is the only city that combines a seaport with a palm grove of over 300,000 palm trees.

Before arriving in Gabes, you’ll visit the Mareth Line Military Museum, which played a key role in World War II during the battle against Rommel.

Next, you’ll explore the palm grove and its numerous oases. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before continuing to Matmata to discover its traditional troglodyte houses.

To end the day, we’ll take the road back and drop you off at your accommodation

Departure for Gabès (Djerba > Gabès, 170 km - 2h50).

Lunch at the restaurant on the port.

Departure for Matmata: (Gabès > Matmata, 40 km, 0h45 .

Visit to Matmata and the troglodyte houses.

Visit of Toujane (27 km. 34 min).

Return and drop-off in front of your place of stay. (Ksar Médenine > Djerba 90 km, 1 h 30).

Transportation is either by 4x4 or minibus depending on the number of participants.
