DESERT IMMERSION FROM GABÈS: CAMEL TREK TO KSAR GHILANE

Departing from Gabès, this full-day desert experience takes you deep into the Tunisian Sahara.

At the oasis of Ksar Ghilane, your camel guides will lead you on a 3-hour trek through golden dunes.

Enjoy a traditional lunch prepared on site in the heart of the desert, then relax or take a dip in the natural hot spring.

It’s an authentic and peaceful escape into nomadic life, perfect for travelers seeking adventure and cultural connection.

PROGRAM OF THE CAMEL RIDE AT KSAR GHILANE FROM GABES

Pick-up at 6:30 a.m. in front of your place of stay in Gabès and departure for Ksar Ghilane.
Arrival at Ksar Ghilane around 10 a.m.
After a coffee break, you will meet your camel drivers and their camels.
Then, it's time for Méharée, 3 hours immersed in the desert on the back of a camel.
Lunch, the camel driver will prepare you a traditional Tunisian meal in the desert:

Tunisian salad.

Grills.

Bread baked in the sand.

Return to Ksar Ghilane, possibility of bathing in the hot water spring at 32°.
In the middle of the afternoon, we will leave Ksar Ghilane for the return journey.
Return and drop-off in front of your place of stay in Gabes.

Do not forget:

Solar cream.
Hat or cap.
Scarf or scarf.
Pair of sunglasses.
Camera.
Some cash for your personal expenses.
Swimwear and bath towel if you want to bathe in the hot spring.

Information:

Transportation is either by 4x4 or minibus depending on the number of participants.

Our vehicles can be equipped with baby seats on request.

This day trip is not open to people with reduced mobility.

PRICE OF THE CAMEL RIDE DAY TRIP IN THE DESERT TO KSAR GHILANE

Our prices are reduced according to the number of participants, up to a maximum of 5 people per 4x4:

For 5 people, price per person	€85
For 4 people, price per person	€95
For 3 people, price per person	€120
For 2 people, price per person	€160

For more than 5 people and a single person, contact us!

For private day trips, reductions for children under 11 only apply to groups of 4 or more paying adults.

The price includes:

Pick-up and drop-off at your place of stay.
Transport by 4x4 or private minibus, with driver.
The services of an ONTT* approved camel guide.
Lunch in bivouac.
The 3-hour camel ride.
Entrance fees to the visits planned in the program.

Excluded from the price:

Domestic or international flights.
The drinks.
Optional extra activities.
Tips and personal purchases.
