Departing from Gabès, this desert day trip leads you through fascinating landscapes — from coastal plains to desert hills — before reaching Douz.

Once there, your adventure begins: a two-hour camel ride into the peaceful expanse of the Sahara, guided by experienced camel handlers who will introduce you to nomadic traditions.

After the trek, enjoy a hot lunch served in the middle of the dunes, where silence and serenity create a truly special atmosphere.

A perfect day to disconnect, recharge, and explore the soul of the desert.

PROGRAM OF THE DAY TOUR CAMEL RIDE IN THE DESERT

Pick-up at 6:30 a.m. in front of your place of stay in Gabès and departure for Douz.
Arrival in Douz around 9 am.
After a coffee break you will meet your camel drivers and their dromedaries.
Then, it's time for the camel ride, 2 hours immersed in the desert on camels.
For lunch, the camel drivers will prepare a traditional Tunisian meal for you in the desert:
A Tunisian salad, grilled meats, and bread baked in the sand.
Return to Douz in the middle of the afternoon, to meet your driver and his vehicle.
Return to Gabès and drop off in front of your place of stay.

Information:

Transportation is either by 4x4 or minibus depending on the number of participants.

Our vehicles can be equipped with baby seats on request.

This day trip is not open to people with reduced mobility.

PRICE FOR THE CAMEL RIDE

Our prices are reduced according to the number of participants, up to 5 people per 4x4 maximum:

For 5 people, price per person	€90
For 4 people, price per person	€100
For 3 people, price per person	€120
For 2 people, price per person	€160

For more than 5 people and a single person, contact us!

For private day trips, reductions for children under 11 only apply to groups of 4 or more paying adults.

The price includes:

Pick-up and drop-off at your place of stay.
Transport by 4x4 or private minibus, with driver.
The services of an ONTT* approved camel guide.
The 2-hour camel ride.
Picnic lunch.
Entrance fees to planned visits in the program.

Excluded from the price:

Domestic or international flights.
