Hike between the ancient Berber villages of Douiret, Chenini, and Guermassa, and enjoy a rare opportunity to spend the night in a troglodyte guesthouse carved into the rock.

TREK PROGRAM IN DJEBEL DAHAR

Day 1:

Pick-up from your place of stay in Zarzis.
Departure to the Berber region and Djebel Dahar.
Arrival at the village of Douiret.
Start of the day-long trek in Djebel Dahar, from Douiret to Chenini. Estimated duration and distance of the trek: 3h30 - 8.25 km.
Lunch in Chenini.
Continue the trek back to Douiret via the site of the 7 Sleepers. Estimated duration and distance of the trek: 3h00 - 7.50 km.
Arrival in Douiret.
Check-in at the troglodyte guesthouse, free time, dinner, and overnight stay at the guesthouse.

Day 2:

Departure by car to Chenini, approximately a 45-minute drive.
Start of the trek from Chenini to Ksar Guermassa. Estimated duration of the trek: 3h30.
Lunch in Guermassa.
Visit Ksar Guermassa, estimated duration of the visit: 1h30.
Departure for the return to Zarzis.
Arrival and drop-off at your place of stay.

This trek is not open to people with reduced mobility.
