Camel Ride at Ksar Ghilane

DAY TRIP TO KSAR GHILANE – DESERT ADVENTURE FROM ZARZIS

Start your day at sunrise from the coastal town of Zarzis and set off for the Sahara.

A scenic drive takes you to Ksar Ghilane, a legendary desert oasis surrounded by golden dunes.

Once there, enjoy a welcome coffee and meet your local camel guide.

You'll embark on a 3-hour camel trek across the sands — an authentic Saharan journey at the rhythm of your dromedary.

Lunch is prepared over the fire in the heart of the dunes: fresh Tunisian salad, grilled meat, and traditional desert bread baked in hot sand.

Before heading back, relax with a swim in the natural hot spring that flows through the oasis.

This desert experience ends with a scenic return to Zarzis in the late afternoon, full of incredible memories.

PROGRAM OF THE CAMEL RIDE IN KSAR GHILANE FROM ZARZIS

Pick-up at 6:30 a.m. in front of your place of stay in Zarzis and departure for Ksar Ghilane.
Arrival at Ksar Ghilane around 10 a.m.
After a coffee break, you will meet your camel drivers and their dromedaries.
Then, it's time for Méharée, 3 hours immersed in the desert on the back of a camel.
Lunch, the camel driver will prepare you a traditional Tunisian meal in the desert:

- Tunisian salad

- Grills

- Bread baked in the sand.

Return to Ksar Ghilane, possibility of bathing in the hot water spring at 32°.
In the middle of the afternoon, we will leave Ksar Ghilane for the return journey.
Return and drop-off in front of your place of stay at Zarzis.

Information:

Transportation is either by 4x4 or minibus depending on the number of participants.

Our vehicles can be equipped with baby seats on request.

This full day trip is not open to people with reduced mobility.
